(CNN)At least 26 people were killed in Sunday's church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott said at a press conference.
About 20 others were wounded, said Freeman Martin, a regional director with the Texas Department of Public Safety, with victims ranging in age from 5 to 72 years old.
Among the dead is the 14-year-old daughter of the First Baptist Church's pastor, Frank Pomeroy, according to his wife, Sherri Pomeroy, the girl's mother. The couple were traveling out of state when the shooting occurred
Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington has died aged 41, LA County Coroner says.
The coroner said Bennington apparently hanged himself. His body was found at a private home in the county at 09:00 local time (17:00 GMT) on Thursday.
Bennington was said to be close to Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell, who took his own life in May.
Formed in 1996, Linkin Park have sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and have two Grammy Awards.
The band had a string of hits including Faint, In The End and Crawling, and collaborated with the rapper Jay-Z.
The album Meteora topped the Billboard 200 chart in 2003 and is regarded as one of the biggest indie rock records of all time.
Bennington leaves a wife, and six children from two marriages.
He is said to have struggled for years with alcohol and drug abuse, and has talked in the past about suicide as a result of being a victim of abuse as a child.
Bennington wrote an open letter to Chris Cornell on the latter's death, saying: "You have inspired me in ways you could never have known... I can't imagine a world without you in it."
Cornell would have celebrated his 53rd birthday on Thursday. He hanged himself after a concert in Detroit on 17 May.
Band member Mike Shinoda confirmed the news of Bennington's death on Twitter: "Shocked and heartbroken, but it's true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one."
Tributes to Bennington flooded in soon after news of his death.
The band Imagine Dragons tweeted: "no words, so heartbroken. RIP Chester Bennington."
Grime artists Stormzy, who collaborated with Linkin Park earlier this year, tweeted: "Bruv I can't lie I'm so upset serious." The Golden State Warriors, fresh off winning the 2017 NBA championship, have unanimously voted to skip their customary White House visit, per reports (that have yet to be confirmed). If true, this would mark an unprecedented political decision from a sports entity. However, if the Warriors do indeed decide to skip their visit, it would come as no great surprise given how Steve Kerr and many of the players have spoken out against the current administration throughout the season.
NBA champion Warriors skipping the White House visit, as a unanimous team decision per reports.
— Downtown Josh Brown (@ReformedBroker) June 13, 2017
Again, the Warriors themselves have not confirmed the reports, so we don’t know for sure that this is happening. They very well could have made the decision last night or this morning, but don’t want to announce yet.
Of course, teams are in new territory these days. By potentially taking this type of stand, the Warriors are only staying true to what they’ve said in regards to Trump since the election. If they do indeed decide to skip their visit, it would not be surprising.
Manchester attack: 22 dead and 59 hurt in suicide bombing

Twenty-two people, including children, have been killed and 59 injured in a suicide attack at Manchester Arena.
The blast happened in the foyer at 22:35 BST on Monday at the end of a concert by US singer Ariana Grande.
Police said the lone male attacker, who died in the blast, detonated an improvised explosive device.
Relatives are using social media to hunt for missing loved ones, and an emergency number, 0161 856 9400, has been set up.
Sixty ambulances attended the incident and those wounded are now being treated at six hospitals around the city.
Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said it was "the most horrific incident" Greater Manchester had ever faced.
He
said the "fast-moving investigation" was now working to establish
whether the attacker "was acting alone or as part of a network". Eyewitnesses described seeing metal nuts and bolts among the debris, and spoke about the fear and confusion that gripped the concert-goers.
Andy
Holey, who had gone to the arena to pick up his wife and daughter,
said: "An explosion went off and it threw me about 30ft from one set of
doors to the other set of doors.
"When I got up I saw bodies lying on the ground. My first thought was to go into the arena to try to find my family."

"We
were stood at the top of the stairs and the glass exploded - it was
near to where they were selling the merchandise," she told BBC Radio
Manchester.
"The whole building shook. There was a blast and then a flash of fire afterwards. There were bodies everywhere."
Teenager
Abigail Walker, who was at the concert, told the BBC: "I had to make
sure I had my sister. I grabbed hold of her and pulled hard. Everyone
was running and crying.
"We were just trying to figure where everyone was. It was absolutely terrifying."
Charlotte Campbell's daughter Olivia has been missing since the concert.
"She's only a 15-year-old girl, she's out there on her own because her friend has been found," she told the BBC.
"If anyone sees her contact me. Give her your phone and let her ring me. I just want her home."
Analysis: Gordon Corera, BBC security correspondent
The
UK threat level has been has been judged to be severe for nearly three
years - which means an attack is considered highly likely.
But in recent months the tempo of counter terrorist activity has been increasing with - on average - an arrest every day.
After
the attack in Westminster by Khalid Masood in March, police and
security officials have been warning that further attacks were almost
inevitable.
But they also believed that those were more likely to
be low-tech involving knives or vehicles. The fact that the Manchester
attack involved explosives will worry them.
It may not have been
at the level of complexity seen in Paris in 2015, when multiple
attackers sent from Syria used guns and suicide belts, but it will still
have required planning to make an improvised explosive device.
The explosion happened shortly after Ariana Grande left the stage as concert-goers began heading to the exits
The 23-year-old teen actress-turned-singer, who has a strong following among teenage girls and children, tweeted: "broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words"
Home Secretary Amber Rudd said it was "a barbaric attack, deliberately targeting some of the most vulnerable"
The prime minister is to chair a meeting of the government's emergency Cobra committee at around 09:00 BST
London Mayor Sadiq Khan said the police presence in the capital would be stepped up
World
leaders have expressed solidarity with the UK, including French
president Emmanuel Macron, who called it "a murderous attack".
Image copyrightPeter ByrneImage caption Armed officers rushed to the scene on Monday night Police
have established a help centre at the Etihad Stadium, access Gate 11,
for anyone who needs assistance in tracing loved ones.
Twitter has been flooded with appeals from relatives and friends of missing concertgoers via the hashtag #MissingInManchester.
Facebook also activated a safety check feature so that people can let their family and friends know they are safe.
The
blast happened close to the entrance to Victoria railway and tram
station. The station has been closed and all trains cancelled.
Police
also carried out a precautionary controlled explosion in the Cathedral
Garden area of the city at about 01:32. The force later confirmed it was
not a dangerous item.
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham said
the city would "pull together", adding: "That's what we are. That's what
we do. They won't win."
The Manchester Arena or MEN is the city's largest indoor venue with a concert capacity of around 21,000.
Police
are encouraging anyone with footage from the scene to upload it at
ukpoliceimageappeal.co.uk or ukpoliceimageappeal.com. Other information
can be reported to the anti-terrorist hotline on 0800 789 321.

NEW YORK -- Chuck Berry, rock 'n' roll's founding guitar hero and storyteller who defined the music's joy and rebellion in such classics as "Johnny B. Goode," ''Sweet Little Sixteen" and "Roll Over Beethoven," died Saturday at his home in an unincorporated area west of St. Louis. He was 90.
Emergency responders summoned to Berry's residence by his caretaker about 12:40 p.m. found him unresponsive, police in Missouri's St. Charles County said in a statement. Attempts to revive Berry failed, and he was pronounced shortly before 1:30 p.m., police said.
A police spokeswoman, Val Joyner, told The Associated Press she had no additional details about the death of Berry, calling him "really a legend."
Berry's core repertoire was some three dozen songs, his influence incalculable, from the Beatles and the Rolling Stones to virtually any group from garage band to arena act that called itself rock 'n roll.
"R.I .P. And peace and love Chuck Berry Mr. rock 'n' roll music," Beatles drummer Ringo Starr tweeted in reaction to Berry's passing. "Just let me hear some of that rock 'n' roll music..." Starr added, quoting from one of Berry's hits. www.nola.com

Super
Bowl 51 had plenty of stories going into Sunday's culmination of the
NFL season. People thought it could be the highest scoring game ever.
The Atlanta Falcons were the upstarts and the New England Patriots were
going for official G.O.A.T. status with Bill Belichick and Tom Brady
going to another championship game looking to collect another ring.
People made it about politics, offense vs. defense, the regular season
MVP looking to finish things off in grand style and the fun, high
scoring Atlanta team rising up against the Patriots and their way. For
all the talk of how the past season played out – Deflategate, Colin
Kaepernick's protest and the low ratings – the 51st Super Bowl was going
to deliver big.
RELATED
And
it did; although you'll definitely get very different answers from fans
of each team. For the Falcons, it looked like vindication. The team's
defense showed up, slowed things down, beat up on Brady and kept up up
on the pressure. For the mighty Patriots, it looked like a beating the
likes of which they rarely see. After years of being the team you could
usually count on seeing in the last game of the NFL season, it was
hardly business as usual – until they came back. Ultimately, the score
was 34 to 28 in the Patriots' favor.
Starting off with a tight,
scoreless first quarter, the Falcons ruled the second, ending the half
leading 21 to New England's single field goal. Atlanta's defense looked
like the same dominant unit that shut down Aaron Rodgers and the Green
Bay Packers in the NFC Championship, except this time Brady was the
victim.
The game
mostly continued that way through three quarter. Brady couldn't connect
with favorite target Julian Edelman, when the Pats did get into the end
zone, Stephen Gostkowski missed the extra point, hitting the right
upright. Atlanta was dominant throughout the bulk of the game, until the
4th quarter when New England started what looked like a comeback,
getting within a score with just under six minutes left in the game.
Brady and his offense took every opportunity they could to strike,
inching closer to their opponents in a way that almost looked like they
had some magical power to slow things down and make the plays they
needed to come from behind and pull off the type of victory nobody saw
coming. Sure, New England was favored going into the game, but a
comeback, especially from multiple scores down, wasn't what anybody
predicted. But would it be that shocking? New England's entire season
was based on a comeback. The question surrounding Brady coming back from
a Deflategate suspension, if those four games would be the beginning of
the end. There was no way they could come back from that, right? And
then they did. Just like they would in Houston. A James White rushing
touchdown after the two-minute warning led to a two-point conversion
punched in by Danny Amendola, and with under a minute remaining, the
Super Bowl was tied and on its way to the first overtime in the history
of the NFL championship game. With the pacing of the game in the early
parts, it felt as if it was over in the blink of an eye. Brady and his
offense operating fast and efficiently, scoring a touchdown on the
team's first drive to seal the deal. That was it, the end. The New
England Patriots executed a comeback for the ages, and for the team,
Belichick and Brady, they all sit alone at the top.
