News for iPhone 6

Apple fans, the time has finally come. We have seen a number of exciting new devices announced in the past few weeks — check out our hands-on previews of the Galaxy Note 4 and Motorola’s new Moto X for two great examples. But nothing, and we mean nothing, has been as hotly anticipated as Apple’s huge iPhone 6, iPhone phablet and iWatch announcements.
Now, after months of leaks and rumors, it’s finally time for Apple’s next-generation iPhone lineup and its first ever wearable device to become a reality.
Tuesday’s Apple event is going to be the company’s biggest and most important press conference in years, so there was absolutely no way that Apple was going to make fans follow along with live blogs. Instead, the company is providing live streaming video of the entire show so the world can follow along as Apple unveils the product lineup that is expected to lead to its most profitable quarter ever.
What should we expect to see during the event? If the dozens upon dozens of leaks and rumors leading up to today are any indication, we’ll see two completely redesigned iPhone handsets, a wearable device that has been referred to as the “iWatch,” a brand new mobile payment system and plenty more.
For a rundown of everything you can expect to see during Tuesday’s event, be sure to check out our iPhone 6 rumor roundup.
Apple’s new iPhones will be the stars of the show, of course, and the company is expected to unveil a flagship phone with a 4.7-inch display as well as a new iPhone phablet with a 5.5-inch screen. In fact, videos of a working iPhone 6 recently leaked for the first time ever. But as great as leaked videos are, there’s nothing like seeing the official unveiling of these exciting new devices.
So, how exactly can you watch all the action live?
On a Mac or iOS device
Apple is providing users a number of ways to watch the action live. On a Mac computer or an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, visiting this link on Apple’s website will allow you to stream live video of the event.
Apple notes that its streaming video will only work in “Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later.”
On Windows and Android
Sadly, Apple’s live stream doesn’t officially support any Windows or Android devices. Crazy, we know. There’s no guarantee it’ll work reliably or at all, but you can try a user

American Masters : Les PAUL Chasing Sound

Les Paul one of the great American Inventors is probably the most responsible person for how the recording music process has evolved today, especially multi track recording. Bing Cosby gave Les a tape machine which the Germans had invented and Les added another recording head.  He called up Ampex and within an hour of mounting the second recording head, multi-track recording came to life. Doing this gave birth to multi track recording and overdubbing as we know it today.
Prior to this moment in recording you had only one track, so if a musician made a mistake or a singer sang a wrong note, you would have to stop and start all over again. In today’s music industry you have 12, 24, 48, or an infinite amount of input recording tracks, all of this would be attributed to Les Paul for being the first person to come up with that idea of a second recording head which lead to overdubbing and multi-track recording. I would be remiss if I did not mention Les Paul had a loving and supportive mother which helped fuel Les's curiosity as a young child taking apart the paper roll from her piano trying to figure out what made it work, taking a cinder block, broom, and telephone to amplify his voice during a performance in the local bar, taking the needle from his father’s phonograph player, along with a piece of rail road track to amplify his guitar. One could make the case that these experiences started Les on the idea of making pickups to amplify the guitar. This brings me to his other most memorable and important invention which is the Les Paul solid body model guitar. Prior to the invention of the solid body guitar most of the guitars used were acoustic, semi acoustic, semi hollow bodies. The solid body guitar added more sustain and dynamic sound which came into demand and still is in some of today’s music. Les also develop a great deal of electrical and engineering aptitude which has left its mark on the recording industry up until today.http://youtu.be/-Uue8Dpih3k
Les tried to introduce his solid body guitar idea to Gibson up to ten years before they took him seriously. He had a hit record with Bing Cosby which put him on the map as a great guitarist and later inducted in the inventor’s hall of fame Waukesha Wisconsin. Les's unique guitar playing along with new overdubbing tricks and techniques he used made him a maverick recording artist and a successful impact on the music seen. He continuously worked on his solid body guitar idea until around 1950, when Leo Fender put out the first solid body guitar into mass production. The following year Gibson finally agreed to put his guitar in production. This Les Paul solid body guitar invention became a hit for its dynamic sustain and quickly became an industry standard and it still is today. So his inventions has affect todays music industry in many ways because when people are looking for a certain solid body guitar sound, the two leading guitar names are Les Paul (Gibson) or Fender. The Les Paul solid body guitar is considered an industry standard by guitarist worldwide. Inventing the multi-track recorder has changed the way we record music forever. To make one industry changing invention is phenomenal, so to invent two is just genius.

Copyright Criminal -a look into copyright infringement

It is said that if you sample one note from somebody's record without their permission, you have committed copyright infringement. I respect that as a fellow artist myself. However as far back as the mid 1970’s, music equipment companies like Roland along with other companies started making drum machines and then later on sequencers. My opinion is that the industry made samplers and drum machines not for people to look at them and collect dust. They were made to sample music; however I do believe credit and compensation should be given to the original authors if one decides to use them. The late 1980'/90's lead to the rise of sampling. Creative D J"s like Easy Mo B, Pete Rock, D J Premier, Hank and Keith Shockley became producers and made sampling new interesting and hip. I personally believe during the 1990's the rise of the Emulator SP -1200, Akia MPC-60/60II, and MPC 3000/4000 drum machines in hip hop and R&B gave life to a new sound. Now besides simple sample loops you had to have hot drum sounds (kick and snares) in order to compete with the other artist and producers being played on the radio. So I believe if you sample a kick from a record approximate one second length of time, a snare approximate one second length, and hit hat approximate one second length of time, and then program your own idea using these sounds just like you would on a Roland 909, I don't have a problem with that. Now if you sample more than the kick (more than one second) you should be prepare to contact that artist and compensate them accordingly.
Clyde Stubberfeild from James Brown's band one of the most sampled drummers in the world, having not received a penny from all the times his playing has been sampled is such a shame to me. The under current theme of surviving and becoming successful in America is seeing who is the best thief. On another level what sampling has done is to fertilize a new set of criminals where everybody wants to take someone else's music, put their name on it, don't pay any royalties for it, release it sell millions of copies and get rich the good old American way. It’s just a continuation of capitalism. If there is a dysfunctional break down within a society you have to take a look at how the society was formed and made from the beginning. If you sow in crime you will reap in crime. What’s sad is this trend has given life to a new set of youths who are so lazy when it comes to originality or creativity, they have no interest in making a song from their own mind of creative process, nobody wants to think or try to make something new like a new melody or lyric using their own mind and ability. Everyone wants to steal somebody else's idea without paying them and get rich quick. The proof is in the pudding look at some of the biggest names in the music industry today. Robin Thicke, Pharrell. Williams, like them or not, they have all been involved with taking someone else's composition without permission and claiming it to be their own, a real sad state of affairs for aspiring musicians. by Vere Isaac
