Hurricane Matthew crashed into southwestern Haiti as a Category 4 storm Tuesday morning, dumping rain and scouring the land with maximum sustained winds of 145 miles per hour.
It is the first Category 4 storm to make landfall in Haiti since 1964, when Hurricane Cleo also hit the island nation's southwestern peninsula.
At 7 a.m. local time, the eye of Hurricane Matthew sat over Les Anglais, Haiti. The hurricane is so large and powerful that people in a 40-mile radius from its center were under hurricane warnings, and tropical storm-force winds were lashing areas as far as 185 miles away, near the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince.
News reports said that at least four people in the Caribbean have died as a result of the storm, including two in Haiti.
According to the Miami Herald, radio reports from the southern port of Les Cayes described shoulder-high floodwaters and sea water rushing into people's homes farther east in Cote de Fer. The National Hurricane Center predicts the storm surge from Hurricane Matthew is between 7 and 10 feet above normal tides.

UPDATE 5:49 p.m. ET: Hours after the terrifying incident, Kim Kardashian reunited with husband Kanye West in New York City on Monday, October 3. The reality star was greeted by West at Teterboro Airport around 11 a.m., sources told Us Weekly. The couple were then escorted back to their apartment downtown in a 15-car motorcade.2993901000000578-3122059-image-a-88_1434141502775]

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RL8K_iXajVo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Kardashian, 35, was also reunited with their two kids, North, 3, and Saint, 9 months, who were safely in NYC when the Selfish author was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning in Paris.
According to a rep for Matilda the Musical, North attended a matinee performance of the Broadway show with two other children, a nanny and a security guard on Sunday, October 2. "They sat in the audience and then afterward, North came backstage and met the kids in the company, including the girl who played Matilda," the rep told Us. "A good time was had by all!"
As police continue to investigate Kardashian’s terrifying incident, a source told Us that the social media maven doesn’t have any plans to fire her longtime bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, who was not present during the robbery.
“Pascal was with Kourtney and Kendall at L'Arc Nightclub. Kim felt safe at the apartment by herself,” the insider tells Us of Duvier's whereabouts. “Kim is not blaming Pascal. She felt completely safe at the Paris apartment and doesn't believe this is his fault in any way.”
The E! personality was last seen entering her NYC apartment with West Monday morning. Her diamond engagement ring — which was reportedly stolen by the thieves — was noticeably missing from her ring finger.
iPhone security expert Andrew McDonnell told Us Weekly on Monday that the burglars, who also reportedly took two iPhones believed to belong to Kardashian, will likely not be able to obtain personal information if the reality star’s devices were set with pass codes.
“For newer iPhones, the bottom line is that a strong pass code makes it nearly impossible for thieves to steal data,” McDonnell told Us. “If someone mugs you, takes your phone, or it’s stolen out of your hotel room, or you leave it in a movie theater, without the pass code, any iPhone from the past few years — I’m sure Kim Kardashian’s was that new — it’s going be extremely difficult to get data out of the phone without the pass code. And to make it impossible, you can lock the iPhone or erase it remotely using Apple’s 'Find My iPhone' Web application.”
E! told Us in a statement on Monday that KUWTK cameras were not rolling during the incident either.
“All of us at E! are incredibly thankful that Kim Kardashian West is safe, and we send her and her family our love and support,” the statement read. “Keeping Up With the Kardashians was not filming at the time of the robbery. Our focus right now is entirely on Kim’s well-being.”
UPDATE: A Paris police official tells Us Weekly that the five robbers were spotted escaping on bicycles after their organized raid. A local bar employee adds, "[Kim has] been popping in and out all the time during fashion week. ... Unfortunately, too many people seem to know that she lives here."
Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, also addressed the incident in a statement on Monday, saying Kardashian will "always be welcome in Paris." Hidalgo said she's confident that police will find those responsible, noting that the robbery "in no way calls into question police work or security of public space" in Paris.

Kim Kardashian was left “badly shaken but physically unharmed” according to her rep, after a terrifying ordeal on Monday, October 3, when she was robbed at gunpoint inside her Paris, France, apartment. Now Us Weekly has exclusive new details of the crime in the video above, and detailed below.

Donald Trump on Wednesday handed over a one-page summary of his recent physical on a doctor's television show — but the campaign won't reveal what was disclosed.
Trump, ever the showman, appeared on "The Dr. Oz Show" in what was billed by the campaign as a discussion about his general well-being and his family's medical history. But reversing what aides had said earlier Wednesday, Trump handed host Mehmet Oz one-page of results from a physical conducted last week by his longtime physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein.
The show does not air until Thursday and the campaign declined to immediately disclose the results. But a release from the show said that "Dr. Oz took Mr. Trump though a full review of his systems" including his nervous system, cardiovascular health, prostate health and family medical history.
Both Trump and his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, have been under increased pressure to release detailed medical records, especially after Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia and was captured on video stumbling getting into a waiting van at a 9/11 memorial ceremony Sunday.

Black Minnesota man Philando Castile, shot, killed by police

Minneapolis, MN – In shocking video streamed on Facebook Live, Philandro Castile, 32, is seen bleeding to death after a Minnesota police officer shot him through his driver-side car window. According to Reynolds, police pulled them over for a broken tail light and callously shot her Castile to death after he told the officers that he had a firearm and a conceal-and-carry permit. The officer who shot and killed Castile is with the St. Anthony Police Department in Falcon Heights, Minnesota and has not yet been identified. However, he has been put on administrative leave – standard operating procedure following a shooting.
Reynolds can be heard on the video telling her boyfriend “stay with me,” as he bleeds out in the vehicle.
“We got pulled over for a busted tail light in the back and he’s covered… They killed my boyfriend. He’s licensed to carry. He was trying to get out his ID and his wallet out his pocket and he let the officer know that he had a firearm and he was reaching for his wallet and the officer just shot him in his arm,” Reynolds says, narrating the events that had just taken place.

Alton Sterling shooting:

Baton Rouge, Louisiana (CNN) A homeless man made the 911 call that brought police to the convenience store where Alton Sterling was shot dead, a source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN on Thursday. Sterling was selling CDs early Tuesday outside the Triple S Food Mart in Baton Rouge, the source said, when the homeless man approached him and asked for money. The man was persistent, and Sterling showed him his gun, the source said. "I told you to leave me alone," Sterling told the man, according to the source The homeless man then used his cell phone to call 911, the source said. http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/07/us/baton-rouge-alton-sterling-shooting/

The details about the 911 call shed new light into the Baton Rouge police's high-profile fatal shooting of Sterling, a 37-year-old black man. A graphic cell phone video of the shooting was shared widely on social media, quickly sparking local protests and drawing national attention. Federal authorities have taken charge of the investigation. Sterling was shot outside the Baton Rouge convenience store after an encounter with two police officers. The officers can be seen in the video on top of him before shots were fired. Vigils and memorials have spread across the country in reaction to the deadly shooting. Local civic leaders and Sterling's loved ones have promised to find out what happened. "I, for one, will not rest," Quinyetta McMillon, the mother of one of Sterling's children, said Wednesday, "and will not allow ya'll to sweep him in the dirt." The 15-year-old son of her and Sterling stood by his mother's side, sobbing.
